Big Day Q&A

When is the big day?

May 17th, 2024! Yes, It's a Friday! This is going to be an outstanding celebration of love and you don't want to miss a minute. Take the day off work, so you don't have to rush to be with us. And you deserve a day off anyways! Pull up and partay!!

What date should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by April 12th, 2024. We love our community and we want to have everyone there! If you do not confirm your attendance by April 12th, we will presume you can not make it and will invite someone else to celebrate in your honor!

How should I RSVP?

We are not mailing paper invitations. All RSVPs should be made electronically via our wedding website.

What time does the ceremony start?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4p. We all know that feeling when we're running late. Plan accordingly so you don't get yourself all worked up, anxious, hot and bothered arriving to witness our union. Take the day off (because you deserve it anyways) and set yourself up to enjoy the festivities with peace and ease!

Where is the wedding venue?

Maison de Veaux 3907 Old Chocolate Bayou Pearland, TX 77584 Please note the street sign will read CR 89 and not Old Chocolate Bayou. But they are the same street.

What's the dress code?

There's no such thing as being overdressed! Celebratory formal is the attire! This means you can take it to the next level! If you don't get fancy often use this celebration as an opportunity to create a red carpet moment for yourself!

Is the wedding outdoors or indoors?

The ceremony and reception occur at the same venue. We will be outdoors for the ceremony. However, the ceremony will be covered. The reception will be indoors.

Can I bring a plus-one?

You and your one guest are welcome! But they first have to pledge the following: I promise to participate, dance and talk to people I don't know! Why? Because it's about building community as well as celebrating our union!

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

If you would like to honor us with a gift, you have a few options: You can have it delivered to our home at 94 Drew St. Unit A Houston, TX 77006. Purchase a gift from our registry, found here on our website. And/or a wedding card box will be at our reception.

Are there accommodation options nearby the wedding venue?

We suggest you stay at The Whitehall where we have a discounted room rate. Friday will be the only time we celebrate in Pearland. The remaining festivities will be in central Houston. However, you are more than welcome to stay in Pearland.

Will transportation be provided to and from the venue?

No. There are pros and cons to renting a vehicle and the same for using ride share. Choose what's best for you. The wedding ceremony/celebration is the furthest wedding weekend activity destination. Other than Friday, the remaining activities will all be in central Houston.

Are children allowed at the wedding?

Your kids are welcome to join in the festivities and add their special brand of joy and laughter to our big day.

Is there a wedding hashtag we should use for social media?

"Jason and Sherhara sittin' in a tree..." and you know how the rest goes! That's our wedding call and response. When you hear it, sing out the rest! #JasonAndSherharaSittingInATree

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

No phones allowed during the ceremony. We have a paid professional photographer capturing the moments. Refrain from having your phone obstruct the views. During the reception, take all of the photos and videos you desire! We'll have a place for you to share what you've captured.

Is there parking available at the venue?
